Apply for the virtual meter from IAMMETER-cloud
The virtual meter is not a physical device but rather a service provided by IAMMETER-cloud. Users can upload data from third-party devices to IAMMETER-cloud by calling the API or using IAMMETER's cloud bridge mode (if supported), thereby accessing all services offered by IAMMETER-cloud.
The virtual meter is our latest attempt, and users can use this to integrate other energy monitoring devices (smart meters, inverters) into IAMMETER-cloud.
Apply for the virtual meter from IAMMETER-cloud
Fetch the data from Hoymiles portal to Virtual meter
select the data source of "Hoymiles" from virtual meter setting.
Input the user/pwd of the Hoymiles portal. (Because there is no token provided in Hoymiles portal,so if you want to read the data , username and password are required ).
click "save"
The Virtual meter is already on the list, and its data source is the fetched from the "Hoymiles portal"
Use the virtual meter
One virtual meter is created successfully, with a data source from the "Hoymiles portal". Now , you can add this "virtual meter" to an place already exist,or create a new place for this "virtual meter"
Add the virtual meter to an exist place
The virtual meter can be added a "place" that is already existed.
Ex: you have already used one IAMMETER product to monitor the grid exchange and also monitor your inverter from its official portal system. Now , you can use the "virtual meter" to fetch the data from the official portal system of the inverter and add the virtual meter in the same place that your grid meter had been added in the IAMMETER cloud,and select the use-type with "inverter"
Create a new place for the virtual meter
You can add this "virtual meter" into a new place,like a real meter.
