Function of REV LED on IAMMETER

I have all 3 of my CT's connected correctly, as all of the measurements for them are correct .

Sometimes the REV LED is on, other times it is off.

What does it actually indicate?

If any phase in the three phases has reverse power reading(the phase angle between the voltage and current is greater than 90 degrees), the REV led will be on.
If the installation is correct, it usually means there is exporting energy to the grid at that time in at least one phase.
If you have not installed the solar pv inverter ,it usually mean the installation is not correctly, maybe there is phase mismatch that described in this article.

OK ,please feel free to contact if there is any other questions.

Thanks for your answer, I would not say Rev Led is flashing, but it is for sure not always ON and I use it as described in "2.2 Monitor both inverter and grid by one three phase energy meter (WEM3080T)"Capacitive load was my assumption as well. Behind the meter there is a 40m long cable (to other small house) which can be considered as capacitive load I think. This was my fist day with the meter I am double-checking each sign now, but once the trust is built -I like the device very much alr

Hi:

You use a 3phase power meter in the split phase usage(one phase for solar PV and one phase for the grid), yes?

And found the REV LED flash some times during the night or the time you make sure there is no solar PV output.

If so , if the report is always correct, you do not need to mind the REV status if it is just flashed in short time (not always on).

Because the measurement is done by the ASIC in a very fast frequency.

Maybe the inductive or capacitive load would also cause the angle of the voltage and current exceed 90 degrees occasionally(I am not very sure about this)

Hi Team

"If the installation is correct, it usually means there is exporting energy to the grid at that time in at least one phase."

I use a WEM3080T on a 1phase PV system. Based on the reports I believe the installation is correct.

The rev led is sometimes is ON sometimes is OFF. If red led is ON - based on the answer above - my system is exporting to the Grid, but it is dark now (no Yield) and overview of the system shows as well, that my does not work... (even in dark Rev  red light ON/OFF is changing relatively frequently..)

Could you PLS give me a hint what could it mean?

Thanks, Gabor

You have given a satisfactory answer.

I have a solar PV syetem.

So the LED indicates REVerse power.  I thought it may have meant that one of the CT's is REVersed.

Thank you
