Dear
I work at a boat harbour.
We have quite a few power columns (12 of them) which supplies power to each boat. Each coloumn has 4 or 6 connectors for the boats to connect to. Circuit breaker of 16Amps, single phase (2 wires) to each boat.
Can I use 1 pcs WEM3080T-150A to measure the power consumption of 3 boats by attaching the CT on 1 of the 2 cables connected to the boats?
Best regards
Erik, Norway
Hi EriK:
Yes, the 3 phase energy meter(https://www.iammeter.com/products/three-phase-meter) of IAMMETER supports the split-phase usage.
It means you can consider it as three single-phase energy meters(with the same neutral line).
Each column has 4 or 6 connectors for the boats to connect to. Circuit breaker of 16Amps, single phase (2 wires) to each boat.
If all the single-phase power has the same neutral line in one column, it is a very cost-effective way to use one WEM3080T(3 phase energy monitor)to monitor a column(include three single-phase power circuits).
Because the unit price of the 3 phase energy meter is equal to two single-phase energy meters(https://www.iammeter.com/products/single-phase-meter), it can be used to monitor 3 single-phase circuit loops.
Happy Chinese new year.
