[New Feature] Add the parameter of solar PV efficiency in IAMMETER-cloud
Add the parameter of solar PV efficiency in IAMMETER-cloud
efficiency = total solar yield energy/(Days*system size)
Please note: the efficiency calculation needs the value of"system size" .
If you have more than one solar site, you can also compare their efficiency in the reports of the virtual site.
You can compare up to 5 sites`s solar PV efficiency.
I do not see this option with me. Do I need to do something to get it?
The premise of this efficiency display
1 have the meter type of "inverter" in place setting.
2 set "system size" in place setting.
if you still have problem ,please post the snapshot here.
same as @Muhammad Tufail

Hi Leglene:
it is strange from your snapshot.
You are in solar pv monitoring view. It mean you ought to have set the meter type of "inverter" before.
But from the place setting view , it have not meter type selection there .
It mean you only have one single-phase meter in this place, but this place had been set in solar pv monitoring mode.
Could you please tell me how do you set the place in solar pv monitoring mode by only use one single-phase meter ?
Hello in reality I have 2 single-phase meters 1 for the grid 1 for solar 'inverter'
the 2 tables being 10 meters apart, I took this solution
for the rest it works
(sorry for google translate)
Hi:
Whether you have install the two meters in same place firstly and delete one of the meters(meter type = grid)
Then you install the deleted meter to a new place, yes?
If so ,why do not keep these two meters in same place?
If you have two single phase meter in one place, and have one of them is "inverter"(meter type), then you will get this Efficiency parameter in the block.
Thanks

Sir, this efficiency data will look more appropriate for grid tie system, since the yield energy direct transfered to the house load. But if using offgrid inverter it wouldn't look accurate because the comparison usage energy is depending on the inverter output or house load, not compared with the solar pv.
let say my pv system 4.74kwp, my inverter load only 2kwh.. therefore my efficiency only 0.42 kwh/kw. Of course it look not efficient at all 😃
Am i correct..?
Hi, thanks for your feedback.
In fact, the efficiency here is designed for the grid-tied inverter system, which is used to reflect the grid-tied solar PV installation effect in the different areas.
We indeed have not thought about the efficiency in the off-grid system yet.
If you know how to calculate the off-grid system efficiency, welcome to let us know.
