WEM3080T and Solax X1-5.0 inverter (single-phase inverter)

Hello, I have a WEM3080T installed at home. Everything works as it should (I've had it for years).

Now the company will make a photovoltaic system for me On - grid (without battery and without smart meter) 4.5KWh (Solax X1-5.0 inverter - it is a single-phase inverter).

The question is:

- Can the WEM3080T somehow communicate with the Solax X1-5.0 inverter?
- Can the WEM3080T measure energy consumption as it has so far on three phases and at the same time measure production/consumption from the inverter?

Sorry ,I forget to reply one question

"Can the WEM3080T measure energy consumption as it has so far on three phases and at the same time measure production/consumption from the inverter?"

I guess your grid is three phase system(because what you used is 3 phase energy meter WEM380T before) , yes?

If so ,you can not measure both grid (3 phase ) and inverter (one phase ) by just one WEM3080T, you need an extra WEM3080(1phase energy meter ) to measure the single phase inverter output.

Otherwise,if your grid system is only one phase, you can indeed use one WEM3080T to measure both grid and inverter output, like this

Hi ,

while there is an energy meter with the meter type of "inverter" that had been added in the "place" in the IAMMETER system, this place will be in the solar monitoring mode.
The effect is completely different from that you used before(the place only has the meter with meter type of "grid")

The solar monitoring function of IAMMETER is like this

You can log in the demo account directly in above link .

After you had install a single phase energy meter on the inverter side and add it in the same "place" in the IAMMETER system (with meter type "inverter"), you will get the same effect as the above link.

Thank you for the reply. So I will need one more single-phase meter. I want to ask one more question: will I learn any data on my current system? in the sense that there will be, for example, less kWh on some phase? or something similar ?

Hi:

1 Sorry, the WEM3080T can not communicate with solax inverter.

2 you can still keep the 3 phase energy meter installed on the grid side as before.
The only difference after you install the solar inverter is there may be some feed-in power(the solar surplus power feed into the grid) and exported energy(kWh) that display in the IAMMETER now.

Please note, if you installed a single-phase inverter (like X1 in solax) in your three-phase grid system, you need to confirm whether your billing is based on net metering mode or normal mode.
If it is the net metering mode, you need to open the net metering mode in the 3 phase energy meter like this
